Frame (Chassis)

The frame subsystem is responsible for the overall roll cage and component mounting for the entire vehicle. The primary roll cage is what protects the driver in the event of a rollover or severe crash. Along with the roll cage, the frame supports mounting locations for each component of the vehicle, offering protection from obstacles. The frame design also encompasses the body paneling which impacts aerodynamic drag on the vehicle at top speed.

What We Do

The chassis team is responsible to create the chassis from the beginning to the end. We design, build and test the skeleton of the car. The chassis is designed using solid modeling CAD software models and validated for using various simulations and methods such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), fatigue, linear dynamics, Multiphysics, and more. We also work with all the other subsystems to ensure all components are properly housed.
