Joining a school organization can be a crucial difference when graduating and going to job interviews as it acts as experience and community involvement. Eagle Motorsports is a great way to develop your engineering mindset, as well as test and apply theories from courses in real world settings. In our shop, you can hone technical expertise in software, top level machinery, project management, social skills and much more. As an undergrad, you’ll be able to meet other under and upperclassmen with similar interests, as well as others in your major. But perhaps the best benefit to joining is that you will get the chance to learn many advanced concepts taught in courses ahead of time, giving you prior experience and practice. In addition to being a great resume booster the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is an internationally recognized association in all industrial fields that being a part of has fantastic benefits. These extend all the way from getting connected with a large network of professionals, exclusive scholarships, discounts on professional development programs, publications, and more.

In Eagle Motorsports, We love to use the saying that “What you put into the team you get out”, and it stands true. The harder you work, the more you learn, the more challenges you face. This all comes together for us to become better engineers, and when you graduate from Georgia Southern you graduate with more than just a degree. You graduate with a variety of technical expertise, a sense of teamwork, lasting friendships, and connections to the business and industrial world as soon as you graduate. But best of all, you are able to set yourself apart from others because of what you have learned from Eagle Motorsports.

We currently have over 120 members in our organization. Our members have a range of majors including business, electrical engineering, marketing, mechanical engineering, computer science, and manufacturing engineering.

Become A Member

As a fully student run team, we handle budgets, marketing, and public relations, and more.  Our team revolves around engineering, but a major part of our competitions revolve around marketing, cost, and design. We also have executive positions that need assistance in organizational tasks.
